Frequently asked questions

Which Ubuntu version should I choose?

Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (Jammy Jellyfish) is recommended for new deployments. It has long support until 2027 (standard) and 2032 (ESM). Ubuntu 20.04 is available if you need it for legacy compatibility.

Can I upgrade from Ubuntu 20.04 to 22.04?

Yes, using do-release-upgrade. However, we recommend taking a snapshot first, or deploying a fresh 22.04 instance and migrating your data.
